Creating dreams that can be eaten

Portion Guide

When deciding on the size of cake you need, you first need to think of how many guests who will be eating it.  You may even wish to keep a cake just for you to share after the wedding, of a tier of fruitcake for a future celebration, but remember not to add in the portions this will provide to the total count for your wedding day.

Couples often want to stick to a budget but need more portions than a two or three tier cake will provide.  We are able to provide separate cutting cakes that will boost the number of portions you have available without incurring the full cost of a larger cake.

This is an average guide only, but will hopefully help you to choose the size of cake you need.  Fruit cake is usually cut into 1" by 1" slices, and sponge cake into 1" by 2" slices.  If you would like to serve larger slices you will need to increase the size of your cake.
